announcing baby Corbett......

Well, we're not technically pregnant but we do have a VIRTUAL BABY! Trust me when I say we are not trying nor are we hoping to have a baby anytime soon, but that didn't stop us from creating a virtual baby. It was an exciting night (wink)! Okay, but really we had a good time morphing our photos together to see what our baby could potentially look like......

Well, let's just say we hope baby Corbett is cuter than the silly virtual looking one!

I love to see the temple!

Seriously. I absolutely LOVE going to the temple. Over the summer (when I had no job and nothing to do), I would go maybe two or even three times a week. Crazy, I know but it was totally worth it. This semester Logan and I set a goal to go to the temple every week, and it's been wonderful! There is just an overwhelming sense of peace and comfort when you're inside the temple. It's an amazing experience each time I go and when I am there I just feel so much better. We had the opportunity to go to the Bountiful (Utah) Temple a few days ago and it is such a beautiful temple.

Logan and I made a goal after we got married to go inside all the temples in Utah. You can read more from the post I wrote over the summer (see here). We've been doing awesome...here are the ones we have left....

Logan (Utah) Temple
Salt Lake (Utah) Temple
Vernal (Utah) Temple
Manti (Utah) Temple
Monticello (Utah) Temple
Brigham City (Utah) Temple *this one is under construction
Payson (Utah) Temple *this one was just announced last week

It's been such a blessing to visit the temple often and we feel grateful to live in Utah where there are so many opportunities to go, especially when we live 2 minutes away from one (Provo Temple). I am so grateful to have a husband that goes to the temple with me and who loves to go! He is amazing. I am so proud of Logan and all that he does (for me, for school, for work, for church)--he really is much more than I could have ever asked for! (Sorry for being incredibly cheesy, but I just have to say it...I seriously have the BEST husband ever!)

cute poem by Logan

sometimes a house is just a building,

an apartment is just a rented room,
a room is just 4 walls.

but today I walked into our rooms,
our ap
artment, and our house

and I'm at home because
we've made it ours.

I found that poem on the kitchen table when I got home today. Yes, my cute husband wrote it. I thought it was the sweetest thing and so true. Although, we've only been married for almost 8 months--this place really has started to feel like home. our home. and I wouldn't have it any other way. seriously LOVE that husband of mine.

Virginia is for lovers and lots of other things....

We spent two weeks in Virginia for our Christmas break. We're grateful to have both our families living in the same state....and same town! It makes things so much easier =)

We loved every minute being in Virginia. We visited with friends and family, went to the DC Temple, played lots of games, watched movies, celebrated Christmas, ate so much food and candy, went to a few weddings, and last but not least...we were there for the VA snow storm (almost 2 feet of snow)!

Enjoy all the pictures; there are lots of them (sorry they are not in the correct order---I am too lazy to fix it)!

We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and wish all of you a happy new year!

Logan's Birthday

My sweet husband turned 23 years old on December 7th. We had a nice party for him a few days before his actual birthday. It was fun to see so many of our friends and family (mainly Carson). Thanks for coming everyone!

On his actual birthday (December 7th), I was sick and ended up staying home from work but that didn't stop me from celebrating my husband's birthday. I made him breakfast in bed, we went to watch a movie at the dollar theatre, we made dinner together (pad thai with shrimp) and then went ice skating (we had not been ice skating since our first "pretend" date together). It was a very fun day.

Read more about Logan in this GREAT post by this mother: http://crazycorbettcorner.blogspot.com/. It describes Logan so well. I'm lucky to have such great in-laws to have raised such a great person! Thank you!

Here are some of the pictures:

Here is the birthday boy with all his presents! Yay!

Logan LOVES shrimp!

Dinner...yummy!

Logan had to find his present in the balloons. He finally found something inside one of the balloons and popped it. Inside, he found a note that said "we're going ice skating for your birthday."

Logan wanted fun-fetti cake with cream cheese frosting. Yummy!

This was from Logan's birthday party. We played a game called "Celebrity" and it was so fun!

Thanksgiving Break!

It was our first Thanksgiving as a married couple and we flew down to Arizona to spend time with the Whitfields' (my aunt and her family). It was so much fun. It was so great to see family. The weather was beautiful--mid 70's. We did so much while we were there (Wed-Sat). We had to come home early Saturday morning because Logan had to work later that day.

We spent the three days: spending time with the Whitfields', visiting with Ryan and his family (Logan's friend from high school), eating so much food (Thanksgiving Dinner, Mexican food, pizza, etc), going to see the Zoo Lights, shopping, watching movies (Blind Side & New Moon), playing video games (Wii), and going to my cousin Dallin's soccer games. SO MUCH FUN! We can't wait to go back to visit again!

We all cheered for him so loud; he was pretty embarrassed =)
