Virginia Thanksgiving

We had a fun few days in Virginia (with my family) for Thanksgiving. I always love going back to my hometown. It's so fun to bring the kids and share a little of my childhood with them. I'm also glad that we don't live TOO far away to make these trips as much as we can.

Virginia in the fall is just dreamy.

We tried to have a bonfire every night and this is what sissy was doing during most of it - eating s'mores.

Went to my local, hometown bookstore and found these original editions of American Girl books.
The best!

Logan and I snuck away for a night at the temple (my favorite temple). This was a great way to kick-off the Thanksgiving holiday. Logan and I certainly have a lot to be grateful for and eternal families are at the very top of that list.

I was able to meet up for brunch with my two high school besties! I love these girls and was so happy to visit with them.

We bought a selfie-stick while we were in VA. Here's our first family selfie with it! :)

Amelia loves dogs, especially my sister's dog (Chester).

We announced to my family that we were going to have another baby!

Thanksgiving Day and trying to get a family picture can be a bit of a ordeal.
I'm glad we were able to get one decent picture out of it!

Again with the selfie-stick. Amelia was upset because she wanted to help hold it.

We were able to visit our DC friends and play with them one afternoon. It was so much fun!

We went to the Botanic Gardens in D.C. The kids loved seeing the trains and all the fun little things they had there.

Bonfire on our last night at my parents' house.

The kiddos with Aunt Mans (that's what they like to call her).

With my beautiful sister and mom

My brother and Logan ran a half-marathon on our last day there. They were troopers to run in the rain on a very hilly course. They finished it together at 1:57. So proud of them!

Two sleeping babes on the way home = miracle!!!

Virginia for days

Lucky us, we got to spend a few days in VA after our NYC trip. This was a great trip as we were able to spend time with BOTH families -- Corbett and Sangbouasy. It would also be the last time getting to be at the Corbett house because of their big cross-country move to St. George, UT (end of June).

We filled in our time as best we could with both families and friends (it's never enough time, let's be honest). We were able to visit with the Williams who live in Arlington, celebrate my mom's birthday, visit with my high school besties, go to the DC zoo, play with the Corbetts, and spend time with my brother before his cross-country move to San Diego, CA (new job for him).

There are a ton of pictures (many of them out of order -- sorry).

Said "goodbye" to the Corbett VA house.
So many memories here -- where I fell in love with Logan (and his family), hours of playing on the trampoline, where we had our wedding reception, etc.
It's a special place and we will always miss it!
