Utah State Adventure!

I know! We are terrible BYU fans for going all the way up to Utah State, but we wanted to see HEIDI!! She is an Aggie now, so it was fun going up to visit her new place and new school. We ate delicious Aggie Blue Mint ice cream, walked around campus, and went to the Logan Temple. It was a perfect Fall break (with perfect weather). Enjoy the pictures!!

the famous "A"

of course Logan was not so thrilled about me being on the "A"

Heidi, on the other hand, was all for it:)

we are so fun

here we are with a few statues

here is the Logan, UT (LDS) Temple during the day, isn't it beautiful?

I love to see the temple!

Seriously. I absolutely LOVE going to the temple. Over the summer (when I had no job and nothing to do), I would go maybe two or even three times a week. Crazy, I know but it was totally worth it. This semester Logan and I set a goal to go to the temple every week, and it's been wonderful! There is just an overwhelming sense of peace and comfort when you're inside the temple. It's an amazing experience each time I go and when I am there I just feel so much better. We had the opportunity to go to the Bountiful (Utah) Temple a few days ago and it is such a beautiful temple.

Logan and I made a goal after we got married to go inside all the temples in Utah. You can read more from the post I wrote over the summer (see here). We've been doing awesome...here are the ones we have left....

Logan (Utah) Temple
Salt Lake (Utah) Temple
Vernal (Utah) Temple
Manti (Utah) Temple
Monticello (Utah) Temple
Brigham City (Utah) Temple *this one is under construction
Payson (Utah) Temple *this one was just announced last week

It's been such a blessing to visit the temple often and we feel grateful to live in Utah where there are so many opportunities to go, especially when we live 2 minutes away from one (Provo Temple). I am so grateful to have a husband that goes to the temple with me and who loves to go! He is amazing. I am so proud of Logan and all that he does (for me, for school, for work, for church)--he really is much more than I could have ever asked for! (Sorry for being incredibly cheesy, but I just have to say it...I seriously have the BEST husband ever!)

new things...

Yay! So, Logan and I just bought our first piece of furniture (since everything else in our apartment is borrowed)! It's so easy & fun shopping with Logan...well...that is if you keep him occupied so he doesn't get too bored. Good thing we went to Ikea to do our shopping (tons of stuff there)...that's where we found this table stand for only $20.

What a great deal right?! YES! We LOVE Ikea! They have the coolest things there and even better....it's relatively good prices. It's fun being able to buy new things to decorate our apartment. Although, I am sooo bad at being creative and coming up with cute ways to decorate. Any suggestions or ideas? Here are some pictures of our apartment, just so you can get an idea....

Also, I'm trying to make a wedding scrapbook of all our pictures but I left all my scrapbook stuff at home with my mom =( I hear digital scrapbooking is pretty popular right now. Although, I've never tried it...so if you know how I can get started with that....let me know!

Logan and I are half-way done with visiting all of the temples in Utah. Now, we just have to go to the ones farther away from us....uggh. We went to the Jordan River Temple last week. So pretty! We had a great time.

So....I found out yesterday that my really good friends from VA are engaged! They are perfect for each other....and they are the cutest couple (see pic below)! They are getting married in December in the DC Temple (which is still my favorite temple even after going to all the Utah temples). Is it just me....or are there like tons of couples getting married?! I know of so many couples that are engaged right now! Well, all I have to say...is there isn't a better time to be married so why not now! =) Congrats Erin & Kyle!

I was texting my brother-in-law (Carson) today. And, he was cute because he asked me for some fun date ideas to do around the Provo area since he and his girlfriend will be out here in a couple weeks for school (BYU). In the text he specifically said "something super fun....so we can see things but not just watch a movie or stuff like that....and something sort of romantic." I, then, gave him a list of things to do....mentioning also that Logan and I go on pretty low key dates like going to the movies then getting ice cream. Carson texted me back saying "well yeah going to a movie and ice cream is fine and okay...and Logan is just boring lol" This text with my brother-in-law really opened my eyes....and I learned quite a bit!! Lesson learned = We are boring and need to go on more fun/romantic dates! So, of course, I talked to Logan about this and he just laughs.....apparently he thinks he's fun and romantic all the time....ha! gotta love him.

update..

Just thought I'd update everyone on some events......
  • I'm learning to cook! yeah!! We try something new just about every day for dinner and it's been pretty fun! I made chicken fried rice the other night (I kind of made it up as I went) and it turned out really good! I was surprised....of course, it's not as good as my mommy's but hey! I'm just learning =)
  • Logan and I went to the Manti Pageant last Saturday with some friends of ours. It was a fun but long night....my little husband was a trooper driving us home. It was worth it...just to see the Manti temple.....absolutely beautiful! I want to go back and go inside next time.
  • I am beginning to like Provo....especially if you get to watch movies with your husband for just $2 on Tuesday nights at the dollar theatre. It's cheap and fun. It's great! I love it...we've seen a bunch of movies there already including Hannah Montana (haha I made Logan go see it...he actually liked it), The Soloist, and there are some other ones that I am forgetting right now.
  • I am STILL job hunting. I hate it but I just have to be patient. I'm still waiting to hear back from this one place, and I'm applying to others....yep yep.
  • Logan and I have a goal to visit all of the Utah temples within a year.....we've been doing pretty good! So far, we've been to.....Draper, Ogden, Provo, Mt. Timpanogas (I can't spell it?!), and Manti (although, this one doesn't really count because we didn't go inside!) It's been so fun going to the temples! I love going and it feels so good being inside!
  • We're playing BYU Intramural Frisbee this summer and it's so fun. Although, I'm sure the only reason I got asked to play was because I'm married to Logan. They want Logan to play (since he's good) and well, I guess they can't get him without me....I guess that's how it works now when you are married. I like it!

For your enjoyment...if you didn't enjoy this post...this will make you enjoy it...watch this video! Logan showed it to me the other day and I could not stop laughing =)
