chasing waterfalls plus a wedding

We are in the St. George, UT area visiting Logan's grandparents for the weekend, and it has been LOTS of fun!

We went to the Gunlock Reservoir and hiked to see the waterfall. There has been quite a bit of flooding in southern Utah, so the water from the reservoir seeped out into the red rocks and that is why we got to see these beautiful waterfalls. The last time this happened was about 5-7 years ago. Pretty neat stuff. The water was a little chilly, but very refreshing. We had a blast :)

We also went to Logan's cousin's wedding. It was fun getting to see many of the Corbett relatives. We won't be back in southern Utah for awhile, so it was nice to catch up with many of them. The wedding was great! After the eating, dancing and cake consuming, the newly married couple (Heather & Randy) along with a few bridesmaids jumped into the swimming pool while in their wedding attire. Next thing I know, there goes Logan and his grandma jumping in as well :) The Corbett family are a crazy bunch, but how I love and admire their adventurous ways! For instance, Logan's cousin (Jaimen) caught a sidewinder snake and a few lizards that he showed us on Friday night. Yes, he's crazy but so are most of the Corbett children including that husband of mine! They can do hard things!

baby crafts

Our little guy is getting a bunch of good stuff. I have been busy sewing for the past week, and so far I have made a car seat cover and nursing cover (pictures to come)! I am also going to make a baby quilt VERY soon. I'm not going to lie, I am sooo proud of myself for getting this all started and finished within a week or so. I just want to get as much done before our move next month. Hopefully, I can get the packing and cleaning done for our apartment too--yikes! Don't worry, mom, I'll make Logan do all the heavy lifting :)

Plus, once we get settled in North Carolina we'll be working on the baby's room. Yay! We came up with a great idea and we're excited to try it out!

Here is our inspiration....
Doesn't that look so perfect?
Yes, we think so too!

Happy Weekend :)

We are going to visit Logan's grandparents one more time before our move, go to a wedding, and enjoy the spring air--it'll be in the high 70's! So exciting!

Question: For all you moms and/or pregnant women out there, what car seat do you have or recommend? Help us! We are debating between a BabyTrend Flex-Loc or Graco SnugRide 35 or Chicco KeyFit 30.

new look

Logan got a haircut (done by yours truly) and new glasses.
He's all set to graduate and start a new job in a few weeks, and boy does he look goooooood!

The end.

27 weeks and counting...

Yes, I know. I am getting huge! People are actually noticing that I am pregnant, not just fat. I really love being pregnant (hopefully I still feel that way in a few weeks). I love feeling the baby move, and I love all the excitement that comes with a new baby on the way! It is such a special time and I am enjoying every single moment! I've also been really lucky to have a normal, easy, low-risk pregnancy which I am very grateful for.

I had an appointment today. Baby C is measuring perfectly normal. His heart rate is around 150 BMP. I also had my blood drawn for a glucose test today--ouch! My weight gain is about 14 pounds so far which is average. Initially, I was a little worried because I wasn't gaining very much weight in the beginning, but I think I've finally found my stride.

The Brio Birth classes are going well; we are learning so much and it has been incredibly helpful. Logan and I have been reading tons of baby books too. It's been fun learning about the different aspects of pregnancy and childbirth.

We are very close to deciding on his name. We have one we keep coming back to and it will probably be the ONE! We will wait until the baby is born to officially announce it :)

Lastly, we are all cleared by my doctor for traveling out to North Carolina when I am 33 weeks pregnant (mid-June). I am a little nervous about the move, but I know everything will work out for the best. It always does!
