Baby girl = 6 months

Amelia had her very first half-birthday on March 25th! She woke up in the morning and I was talking to her saying "it's your half birthday!" when Hudson walked in and said, "Birthday? we're having cake today!" I had to quickly tell him that sister is a little too young for cake, so we would have to wait until her real birthday in September.

I can't believe she is already 6 months old. It went by so fast. She is still as cute as ever, although I hate to say it but she is losing her chubbiness - probably with all the rolling around and jumping she does on her bouncer. I still call her "chub-a-lub" though because there is no denying she still has the biggest, kissable cheeks.

Here are her 6 month stats:

Weight: 15 pounds 13 ounces (44%)
Height: 25 1/4 inches (28%)

A few pictures from the past couple weeks....

That was a rough night.

Blurry picture, but this was her first time in the pool

Another blurry picture, but that smiley face is just so cute!

Virginia visits

We were able to go up to Northern Virginia to be with family twice in two months (January and February).

The first trip was the first time Amelia had been up to Virginia, so we saw a lot of family and some friends while we were there. It was also Chinese/Vietnamese New Year - the kids got "lucky" money in red envelopes for the year. It's a fun tradition that my extended family always did for me growing up, so it was fun that the kids got to experience that this year.

Hud couldn't wait to spend his red envelope at his favorite store, Target

The second trip was the end of February. We went up because Logan was out of town on a cruise with Moxie. I decided to stay behind with the kids. So, we went up to Virginia. We squeezed in some time in Richmond to see my sister, Amanda. It was so fun spending time with her. We went to get pizza at Mellow Mushroom for dinner, and went to the children's museum the next morning. Hudson still asks about Aunt Manda's house and for mushroom pizza!

My parents were gone on a trip (now that my dad's retired, they are living it up with traveling), so we spent most of our time with the Corbetts. It was a great week. Heidi and her fiance, Matt, were in town too. We went to DC, saw friends, and had Heidi's bridal shower. We even got snowed in one day.

Already 4 months

My little chub-a-lub is 4 months old and getting bigger by the minute. Seriously. This cutie girl has the chunkiest little cheeks and thighs. I just love her! There is something to be said about bigger babies; she just sleeps and eats so much better than her brother did at this age. I count myself so lucky to have such a sweet, easy baby.

Here are her 4 month stats:

Weight: 14 pounds 3 ounces (55%)
Height: 24 inches (31%)

A few pictures from the last two months....

After Christmas

Wow, it's already February?!

Excuse me while I back log some events.

The day after Christmas, Logan traveled to UT for his brother's (Carson) wedding. The kids and I would have loved to join the whole Corbett clan, but it was kind of last minute, ticket prices were ridiculous, and I just had a baby - so I sent Logan on his way without us. Thankfully, my parents and Tommy wanted to come down and visit with us which was perfect timing!!

Hudson loved getting a second dose of presents from the grandparents. Plus, he got to open all of Amelia's presents too so that was fun.

We had a nice, fun visit with everyone. We mostly lounged around the house, but squeezed in a visit to the outlet mall (after Christmas sales are the best) and to Duke Gardens.

Hud wanted Ma to do his whole bed time routine one night.
He said, "Go to sleep, mom! Goodnight!" right before this picture was taken.

We get fed really well when my parents visit.
crab legs and clams casino - yummy!

He's going to have quite a loud fan club if he ever plays sports - between my dad and I? I think we'll have it covered.

Meanwhile in UT.....

Logan was attending Carson & Leisha's wedding and spending time with family. These were the only pictures he took/sent me of his time there....
