texting craziness....in the last 24 hours

Lynn (my mom): "When you have time call me pls...."

Tommy (my brother): "How should I ask ________ to homecoming? I don't want to just ask her....it needs to be cute. So, help me. Please. It's you & Logan's homework for tonight."

Delilas (my mother-in-law): "Just thinking about you :) and letting you know I love you. Have a happy day, after all you live in happy valley. Xoxo mom"

Amanda (my sister): "I need this paper to be revised by you....you'll like it....maybe, hopefully."

Logan (my husband): "It has been an awesome day. I talked to my mom. I kissed you. I'm going to class. I get to see you in a few hours. Life could not be better."

True statement, life could not be better......especially when you feel needed and loved everyday. Thanks family =)

Surprise Birthday Party....

Yay! It was my 22nd birthday yesterday (9/10) and it was great! I had my first ever SURPRISE birthday party! Logan did such a good job with planning it; I had no idea that it was happening. Sneaky kid.

Logan and I went out to dinner at the Olive Garden last night. And, when we got home I opened our apartment door and turned on the lights and....SURPRISE! It was so great and fun to have friends over at our apartment to celebrate my birthday. I was just so happy! It was perfect! We also ate yummy chocolate cake which was decorated in yellow frosting....my favorite....

It was such a great day! I got so many wonderful text messages, phone calls, and birthday wishes! Thanks everyone for thinking of me =)

My almost eaten birthday cake made by Allison Rex

Here I am with all of my birthday presents!! I got the dress and vacuum from my family. Logan got me the 1st season of Alias, the movie Hannah Montana, and a Sketch book. Yay!

Britni & Adam Wing got me this frame with our wedding invitation in it. I never thought to do that...what a great idea! And, my parents sent me that really sweet card that made me cry!!

Happy Birthday to my mother-in-law, too!!!
*we share the same birthday*

Labor Day Weekend

It's so nice to get away...especially when you go to visit Grandma & Grandpa Corbett (again) and drive through 3 different states!!

We left late Friday afternoon with a full car....John & Allison came with us again (this time as a married couple) and so did Carson. We played "20 questions" the whole duration of the car ride which was a pretty tremendous feat-- since I wasn't expecting our attention span to last that long! It was great fun being able to visit Logan's grandparents for a couple days. We played lots of games (i.e. Risk, Nertz, ladder ball), swam, and ate delicious food. It was so nice!!

Funny story: On Sunday morning, we woke up at 9:35AM! Church started at 8AM and we missed it =( We got up and quickly went to see if everyone else was up. John, Allison, and Carson were still asleep but we could not find Grandma & Grandpa!! We were kind of worried and then we thought to ourselves--did they leave for church without us? We were really surprised because none of us even heard them leave the house. Once they got home from church, Grandpa asked...."well, why weren't you kids at church?" Logan replied "Sorry Grandpa, we slept right through it." And, this is the best part, Grandpa said: "Well then, do you plan to sleep through the Resurrection as well?" Haha wow! We sure felt bad about missing church after that!!

Later that night, to make up for our lack of church attendance. Grandma decided to have a little Sunday School lesson and we stayed up talking and guessing church hymns on the piano. We also got Grandma & Grandpa to tell the story about how they met which was really awesome listening to!

On Monday, we drove through 3 states....Utah, Arizona, and Nevada! We went to visit John's relatives, his aunt and uncle. They live in Mesquite, NV. We had a great time visiting with them. We took turns going on the ATV....I even got to drive by myself!! So fun! As always, Logan managed to get hurt...he fell off twice and got a couple scrapes....is it just me or is he always getting himself hurt? (i.e. sprained ankle, bruises, etc). Uhh! I guess, this is what I get for marrying a crazy adventurous Corbett boy!!

Logan's new shoes....

I'm so glad I have a wonderful husband who doesn't ask for much......except maybe for a pair of super silly new shoes (they are called "Five Fingers"). He bought these right before school started and he LOVES them! I give him a hard time about it because I think they are goofy/weird looking, but apparently they are really good running shoes and when you wear them it feels like you are going barefoot.....

What do you think?
