Hello Second Trimester!

Yep, I'm in the second trimester (about 14 weeks along) and it is going great! Logan took some more baby bump pictures of me, so judge them how you will. Some days it looks like I have a bump and other days it looks like I am just getting fat. It's been fun experiencing all the changes!

We got to hear the baby's heartbeat a few weeks ago (when I was about 11 weeks along). It was amazing and something we will always remember! It makes everything seem so much real! Logan said it sounded like a boy heartbeat, but I think it is a girl's. I guess time will tell; we find out in a few more weeks and we will be happy either way:)

Logan and I have been struggling with when to find out the baby's gender. It was a big decision and it took a lot of thought, but we have decided that we are going to find out the baby's gender at the 20 week doctor's appointment. We figure it will be a surprise either way at 20 weeks or 40 weeks. This will make shopping and name picking so much easier (note: we have girl names picked out, but no boy names). For all those pregnant or with children, when did you find out your baby's gender?

Baby Bump or lack thereof? You tell me!

I want one of those cute baby bumps! I ask Logan every single day if I am showing or if I look pregnant. To which he replies "Nope, sorry sweetie. You're not showing yet." Then, I get upset and tell him to tell me I look fat but of course he doesn't (which I've accepted because I figure he never will even when I'm full-term and look ready to explode).

So, here you go....pictures of my non-existent baby bump (sorry the lighting is weird in some of them; I need to figure that out on my camera)!!!

When did you start showing (to all those that are pregnant or have children)?

the day we found out!
4 1/2 weeks

8 weeks (not showing)

10 weeks (still not showing)

11 weeks
please tell me I am showing?!

I'm still feeling pretty good. No morning sickness. Just really tired and emotional. Oh, and I don't like doing the dishes because they look dirty and could at any minute make me gag (plus husband does them without complaining). I know, I know...I'm a wimp! That's about it. I hope it stays this way because it's been a great pregnancy so far!

Guess what? We get to hear Baby Corbett's heartbeat tomorrow!
We are sooo excited:)

And, last of all, probably the best thing that happened in 2010 was finding out we are having a BABY!!!! We found out a few days before Thanksgiving. Baby Corbett is expected to make his/her appearance on July 29, 2011. Yay! I'm about 10 weeks along and I am feeling great. I get mild fatigue and that occasional light-headed feeling, but other than that no morning sickness AT ALL (knock on wood). I will post details and pictures of my non-existent baby bump (lame) soon.

We are so happy and truly grateful for this wonderful blessing:) The Lord has definitely blessed our family this past year. We are so excited for the great things in store for us in 2011.....a baby, graduation (for both of us), job offers (mainly for Logan), etc.

We hope you had a great Christmas and we wish you a wonderful new year!!!

Love,
Logan, Abby, and Baby Corbett:)
