It's a.....

BOY, OH BOY!!!!!!

Isn't he adorable?

Look at that leg...tiny, yes, but he's going to be a soccer player!

150 BPM (beats per minute)

I am at exactly 19 weeks and have gained three pounds so far! Yes!
(I promise I don't wear green every single day; I just happen to be wearing that color when we take belly pictures).

We are so excited to add a baby BOY to our family!
And yes, I am happy AND excited even though I was rooting for a girl :)

We went in early this morning for the ultrasound and we left with NO gender prediction. The baby had the umbilical cord between its legs (Logan says the baby was having a wedgie issue, if you will). Poor little baby did NOT move away from the cord even with all the poking and chocolate consuming I did in the 45 minutes we were there. The technician said it looked like a boy, but she was not certain. So, she asked us to come back later that day to try again. We were so grateful for that; we did not want to wait the entire weekend to know the baby's gender.

approximately 8 hours later...

We went in for our second ultrasound (gender check). Within 5 minutes, the technician looked at us and said: "It's a boy! That is definitely a boy part!"

YAY! We are so excited! Baby C looks completely healthy and is right on schedule for his debut on July 29, 2011. We cannot wait to meet this little guy!!!

FRONT ROW TICKETS!!!

Logan surprised me last week with two tickets to the BYU vs. Colorado State basketball game. However, these weren't any tickets...they were FRONT ROW TICKETS in the Student Section. Needless to say, Logan and I were very excited! Logan won the tickets while participating in a game/activity at the Wilk (student center) on campus. It was fun hearing how he won them, and he was actually pretty proud of himself (and so was I). We go to almost every single BYU home game (basketball and football), but the game last night was our FAVORITE game...by far!

We loved sitting so close and getting to see the action. It was even more fun because Dennis Pitta (BYU football player alumni and he currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens) sat in front of us in the court side seats! I even got free candy! Also, the fans up in the front are my kind of people...they are dedicated, they are rowdy, they are loud, they are obnoxious, and they are fun! YES! I LOVED IT!

So, what could possibly be better than that? I'll tell you....seeing the BYU basketball team win! It was awesome! I won't go into any more details; I'll just let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy:)

There were WAY too many pictures; so here is a nice looking collage I put together:) Click image to enlarge.

Warming up before the game...

This is Jackson Emery. He's an amazing defensive player. (P.S. Logan served his mission with him).

I told Jimmer to smile for the camera. He looked right at my camera and this is what he did...
Yes, I know. I'm pretty good at getting what I want:)

Blurry picture, yes, but I had to show you that Elder Bednar was at the game too!

Here we are at the game in the FRONT ROW!! SO MUCH FUN!

This is probably my favorite ACTION shot of the night.
Jimmer shooting a THREE!

Overall, Logan and I were both very happy after the game...

GO COUGARS!!!!!

week 16 & 17

Baby bump pictures. Drum roll please.....

 Week 16

Week 17
Note: Okay, I cheated and made Logan take this picture right after I ate just so I can claim I have a baby bump:) Can you blame me, people?

Oh, and I would just like to announce that after 17 weeks my jeans are starting to feel a little snug! HOORAY! I know that sounds lame, but I was really excited about that!! Go me!

Not to brag or anything, but I can do hard things!!

You know that 28 page (yes, 28 pages) graduate paper that I completed last week? The one that took forever to write and compile? Well, I finally finished it last Wednesday and I turned it in right at the midnight deadline. GO ME! I CAN DO HARD THINGS!!! There really wasn't a page limit, but being the overachiever that I am (or so my husband says) I finished it in just 28 pages. I could have wrote more, but I stopped myself.

Anyway, I checked my school e-mail this morning and I got this message from my professor:

Abby,
I was extremely impressed with the quality of your work! Thank you for your hard work and effort. You adhered to the assignment and followed the rubric perfectly. I would love to see this lesson in an actual classroom. This is one of the finest examples of this assignment that I have been able to access! Thank you and keep up the fine work!
Professor Mike

And, yes, I did get an A+ on the assignment (I can do hard things)!!! Sometimes I get really discouraged that I am doing more schooling, especially since I already have an undergraduate degree that is perfectly useful (not to mention the fact that I work full-time and am currently pregnant), but sometimes....I get comments like that one from my teachers and I know that all my hard work is paying off. I know that I am doing the best I can and that the best I am doing is molding me into a better learner, better teacher, and better person. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my education and I appreciate all the support I get from my teachers, family, husband, and friends. I can do this; I am soooo close to being done! I can do hard things (this is my MIL's motto and I intend to live by it as well)!!!!

Side note: I am 17 weeks along:) Still no significant baby bump (sad). I'll try to post a baby bump picture soon, but trust me there isn't much to see according to everyone I know. We find out the gender in two weeks!!! WOW! Everyone is saying it is a boy, and I kind of think it is a boy too...but a part of me is really wishing for a girl!

Happy Friday! We get a 3-day weekend:) Hallelujah!
