Hudson = 3 months

This handsome kid is 3 months old! We are just in awe of this little boy and feel so blessed to have him in our lives. He is such a joy!

Here are some fun facts about Hudson:
  • A few weeks ago, we took the bath sling off Hudson's bath tub. He loves it. He'll kick his arms and legs like crazy trying to swim every time we give him a bath. I have a video of him, but for the sake of modesty I won't post it publicly.
  • Hudson is such a good little sleeper at night. He started sleeping in his own room and crib when he was about 1 1/2 months which he likes much better. A few weeks ago, he started sleeping consistently through the night. We'll put him down for bed between 10-10:30p.m. and he'll generally sleep until 6a.m. I'll feed him and he will sleep on and off until 9ish.
  • He loves being outside in his carrier or the stroller.
  • He loves watching the ceiling fan.
  • He is still in size 1 diapers, but that is only because we have a box we need to get through.
  • He is still a morning person. That is when you can catch him being the most active.
  • He is starting to drool and blow bubbles. all the time. Is that just a boy thing?
  • He will let anyone hold him. Seriously. He loves meeting new people.
  • He started watching T.V. (I know, bad mom over here). He loves Spongebob Square Pants much to mommy's dismay. Although, daddy LOVES watching it with him.
  • He is smiling all the time now. It is the cutest thing ever.
  • He has the most hilarious pouty face and will do this occasionally. It is so dang cute.
  • Hudson likes to take short naps (not much fun for mom). He will take about 2-3 naps a day for about 1 hour, sometimes less.
  • He is no longer wearing newborn clothes, except for two or three onesies that are stretched out. It was a sad day when I packed those away.
  • He loves talking to us. It is so much fun getting to listen to his sweet coos.
Happy 3 months, sweet boy!
We love you so much!

The Great Pumpkin Adventure

My parents, well mostly my mom, thought it would be "soooo cute" to put me in a pumpkin and being the laid-back kid I am - I let them. It is hard being in a pumpkin when you can't quite sit up on your own yet. Plus, I am really squirmy and combine that with my mom trying to wipe my spit bubbles away before snapping a picture and then trying to get me to look at the camera - it was definitely an adventure, but I did the best I could. Who knew baby modeling required so much work?

I eventually got bored and started sucking on the pumpkin. Oh boy, that was tasty! Then, I wanted out and decided to use my strong little legs to jump out of the pumpkin. I almost did it on my own, but my mom saved me from face planting on the grass. Thanks, mommy. Way to go dad for just standing there laughing at me. I could have gotten hurt, you know? Anyway, it was a good experience and now my parents can post these pictures up for everyone to see (especially my grandmas) and maybe enter me into some sort of baby contest so I can win and get lots of money for college. Thanks mom and dad - you two sure know how to make a baby look goooood!!

couch potato

Couch Potato Etiquette (Infant edition)
by Hudson Corbett

Being a couch potato is pretty cool, but there are a few things to remember....

It can be really boring just sitting there.

So, you will need to move your hands and feet to keep yourself entertained.

Be careful though because you'll start to fall over.

And once that happens, you will re-think whether or not you want to be a couch potato....

especially if your mom doesn't put the camera down in time to pick you up.

For more information, read the official Couch Potato Handbook.

conference weekend

This past weekend was spent in Virginia visiting family and watching the inspired words of our church leaders during General Conference. We look forward to general conference twice a year (April and October) and it never disappoints.

Logan's grandparents were also visiting from Utah and they got to meet our Hudson for the first time. Hudson loved all the attention he got from everyone holding and cuddling with him. What a great weekend!

Yes, a little blurry but it was the only family picture we took

listening to conference with daddy

Uncle Austin decided it would be fun to put different things on Hudson.
First, it was that hat.

Then, it was these glasses along with the pamphlet.
What a little bookworm!
