Grammy in Charlotte

Lucky us, we were able to have Grammy come visit for a few days in Charlotte. And then we had more visitors come see us... Heidi, Averal, and Addie (plus her 3 kids). We loved having family in town and showing them around the city. It's been tough not having any of the Corbetts live on the east coast anymore, so we are always happy to have little visits like this to catch up and hug them close.

Grammy will be coming out again in June 2016 for the arrival of Baby #3 AND we will also have the Corbett Beach trip in August (we can't wait)!!!

Grammy went with us to drop off Hudson at preschool. Lucky boy!

When Grammy comes to town, we have big smiles all around!
Love this picture!

Corbett Girl Cousins!

That face! Averal is such a cutie pie!

I love how they have their arms around Averal here.

Second cousins
(Aiden, Amelia, Hudson, and Macie)

Amelia loves Heidi. She would follow Heidi and baby Averal around the whole time. So sweet!

This picture cracks me up. She was holding Averal pretty tight and not letting go.

If you notice Amelia is wearing a shirt that says "The best big sister!" -- that is how we announced to Grammy (and Heidi) and the rest of the Corbett side that we were expecting Baby #3.

Freedom Park is gorgeous in the fall and so are these girls!
I can already see how much "trouble" these two will get into when they are older. They are 1 1/2 years apart.

Grammy brings the sugar when she comes to visit and we loved this fun cookie making/decorating. She also sends treats and books to the kids for many of the holidays, and we always look forward to that too. We love Grammy and having her visit was the best!

Ben Folds and TOFW

With my parents in town for a few days after Halloween, Logan and I snuck out for a mid-week date night. We were able to get tickets to see Ben Folds and the Y music ensemble. It was such a great concert.

Video: Ben Folds LIVE!

A few days later, I traveled to Atlanta with some of my friends from church. We attended Time Out for Women (TOFW). It was so inspiring and such a great weekend filled with inspiration, girl talk, and late nights. I loved every minute of it!

Love these girls!

It was so so fun getting to see these Korth girls for a bit!

We stopped at Stone Mountain before we headed back to Charlotte.
This place was awesome! Can't wait to bring my kids here one day.

Halloween events

We had a fun Halloween celebration. There were so many activities: Hud's preschool Halloween party, Logan's work Halloween party, church Halloween party, and actual Halloween (with my parents in town). We sure had a lot of fun!

Amelia was Minnie Mouse this year (or Mia Mouse is what we liked to call her). I sewed her costume myself, but not without some blood, sweat, and tears. I was working on the project one afternoon and got my finger stuck on the sewing needle. Ouch! I cried and called Logan to run home to help. No blood on the costume though, thankfully! It turned out really cute.

Hudson was a paleontologist/dinosaur hunter (surprise, surprise) this year. I was going to make the vest for him, but I ended up finding a deal for a vest on Amazon so I snagged that. He still likes to wear it around the house for when he is playing with his dinosaurs. Win-win.

Love these two!

Painting pumpkins

Our friends, Chelsea and Jack, hosted a murder mystery Harry Potter party. It was a lot of fun and the decorations were amazing! Logan was Harry Potter and I was Cho Chang.

At our church Halloween party - Amelia won "best homemade costume"

The big Halloween night! They were excited!

So happy to have my parents in town for the fun night!

We packed the kids in the wagon and went trick-or-treating in the city. It was a beautiful night and the kids sure got their fill of candy!

Pumpkin Patchin' Day

We took the kids to Patterson Farms one Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful day, and the kids really enjoyed all the fun activities -- face painting, pumpkin picking, corn pit, petting animals, and seeing huge farm equipment. We had a great time and this farm was perfect!
