Utah trip (part 4 - Provo/St. George)

Last Utah post right here! The last part of our trip was spent in Provo and St. George.

Provo:
We did a quick day trip to Provo (on our way down to St. George). Provo is our old stomping grounds as we lived there for 2 years (May 2009 - May 2011) while Logan finished his bachelor's degree at BYU and I worked at a local high school in Orem. We lived in Wymount for those years; unfortunately we couldn't go back to our old building to show the kids because it got torn down to make room for the MTC expansion (missionary training center). I think back now to our time there and it seems so long ago, but I have some great memories of living there being newly married. It was a fun time in our lives experiencing the BYU culture and we do miss it sometimes, especially the close-knit friends we made while there.

Our favorite pizza place - Nicolitalia's

At the Bean Museum. These kids loved it, of course!

Walking through BYU campus. Stopped at the bookstore and got some game day t-shirts for all of us.

Ice cream!

Kids loved it!

A girl after my own heart. She loves her ice cream!

Video: Sissy eating ice cream at the BYU Creamery.

My favorite flavor - Graham Canyon

We left to head down to St. George and passed the new, gorgeous Provo City Center Temple.
This building was a tabernacle at first, but caught fire in 2010 (while we were living in Provo).
I remember going there for our stake conferences and being so sad to hear it burned down.
However, a few short months it was decided that a temple would be constructed there!!

How Amelia travels. Two binkies in her mouth. She's such a goof!

St. George:
We made it to St. George and got to spend a few days playing in Grammy and Grandpa's new home and city. They also live a quick 10 minute drive from Logan's grandparents, so we got to visit with them as well. Such a treat!

Here's Grandpa Corbett working out in the garage. He was making all his grandchildren a key chain, I think.

Video: We spent a morning at the aquatic center in St. George.
Here's Amelia coming down the slide with Logan.

Birthday celebration for Hudson. Sissy loved wearing the party hat.

Cutie girl

Hud was so happy to celebrate an early birthday at Grammy & Grandpa's house.

I love his excitement!

Grammy and Grandpa got him his very first pair of roller skates. So fun!

We went to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Corbett's house for birthday cake.

He loved the chocolate cake!

Video: Singing "happy birthday" to Hud with extended family
Such a happy boy!

This is really gross, but Hud found so many snails in the backyard. He loved showing everyone!

Video: Kids at the children's museum in St. George

We spent a day in downtown St. George playing at the children's museum, carousel, and splash area.

Such a fun little splash area in the middle of the city. The kids loved playing in the water!

We went to get ice cream at Nielsen's after. Amelia sure ate it up!

Amelia and her buddy (Abby dog). She loved feeding her ice cubes from her cup.

St. George Temple - we were able to do a session at the temple with Logan's parents. Such a neat experience to be back at this temple (we went down to St. George often while living in Provo).

Las Vegas: We flew out of Las Vegas airport. Logan's mom drove us down and we were able to spend a few hours there. We went to the Bellagio Hotel gardens. It was beautiful!

And, that is a wrap of our super fun, whirlwind 2 week trip to Utah. It was so fun to be out there for the reunions and to spend time with Logan's immediate family. We are the only Corbetts on the east coast now. Wah! :( It's sad not having them closer, but it just makes the time we do get together that much sweeter.

We are hoping to go back to Utah early next year (March 2017) for a skiing/snowboarding trip (since I was never able to do that while living out there).
